Telemarketer fix

I was receiving periodic calls from 613-961-7220 to my cell phone, with no response when answering. Googling the number showed a fix, which was calling 1-800-668-0077 to put the cell number on a don't call list. The Internet is a source of useful information - what did we do pre-Internet?
