UFC 82 - Pride of a Champion Results
March 1, 2008 was the end of long money train for the final PFC champion. The last man standing was Anderson Silva. Dan "Hendo former Hollywood" Henderson put up a good fight but only lasted 1 round, 4:52 seconds before tapping out to a Rear-Naked Choke.
The Texas Crazy Horse won via split-decision over Cheick Kongo. To me it could have went both ways. Cheick will be back.
Great showing by fellow asian brother Yushin Okami for Knocking Out the former champ Evan Tanner. Perhaps Tanner should have been given an easier opponent for his comeback fight.
Josh Koscheck's greatly improved striking game took care of Team Quest fighter Dustin Hazelett.
Former champ Andrei "Pitbull" Arlovski took care of Jake O'Brien in the second round. The big question is will be see more of the Pitbull in the future? The former heavyweight champion has been reduced to being part of an undercard.
