Condo life is good for the single person or the downtown yuppies with puppies. I didn’t understand the line-up outside 1 Bloor Street East until I realized that those waiting were paid labour, including some homeless people. Shame on the realtors who asked the homeless to continue to sleep outdoors so they could re-sell a portion of the sky, to be swallowed up into units and furnished.

My closest point of comparison for Toronto lately has been New York City, with our visits in the past year, but Bay Street doesn’t command the salaries of Wall Street, and Yonge/Bloor is not exactly 14th street / East Village. I wonder when the listings will start to hit mls. 80 floors up, how much of your life would be spent in the elevator?
